With the weather warming up it’s time to start thinking about lawn care. This is the time of year when you start to dream of luscious green grass to walk barefoot in. However, if you use chemicals and pesticides to achieve that luscious green lawn, you won’t really want to walk in it barefoot.
Good news – corn gluten meal can be used as a safe alternative to achieve a luscious, healthy and safe to walk barefoot in lawn. Once the snow is gone, hopefully late March – OK realistically mid-April, and after you rake off any winter debris from your lawn, you can apply corn gluten meal as an organic fertilizer/ natural pre-emergent. Many lawn care companies are now adding organic lawn fertilizers and corn gluten meal to their product lines.
